Rhube Knox is a spoken word artist, and doula living on unceded and unsurrendered Algonquin Territory in Ottawa, Ontario. Her narrative poems exploring the themes of love, trauma, stigma, and mental illness have taken her on to be the first woman to win The OG500 Poetry Slam, as well as the Ottawa Womxn’s Slam, and taking 4th place in the Canadian Individual Poetry Slam. She has hosted writing workshops for many organisations, and considers poetry and education powerful milieus for social change.
