Catherine Lalonde was born in 1974 and lives in Montreal. She is the author of three collections (La dévoration des fées, Le Quartanier, 2018; Cassandre, 2005, and Corps étranger, 2008, winner of the Prix Émile-Nelligan, both published by Québec Amérique and re-issued in 2019/2020 by Le Quartanier). She is a journalist at the independent daily Le Devoir. Originally trained in contemporary dance, she explores links between body, movement, writing and speech in her public readings and in research workshops for authors and dancers.
